When Kids Stumble on Porn

So, Jess had her young, scholastic nephew come over the other night to use her computer to do some research for his school paper on Ancient Greece. (He’s in one of those over-achieving schools that apparently likes giving 6th graders assignments that purposely involve research on the internet in order to complete their schoolwork.)

Now, I’m not sure why or how he stumbled on Ask.com and didn’t go straight to Google.com. Maybe it’s the TV commercials? Anyhow, he decided Ask.com would be a great place to search for “transportation in ancient greece”. Smart kid… w/a really decent search string.

Even smarter… he skipped the first few “sponsered search results” instantly knowing those are most likely garbage. So, he starts clicking on the first few results. (See screenshots below.)

Ok, so… if you click on the first link, great. The second link… though, if you notice redirects quickly to Shemales on Porntube.com.

Ouch. Looks like I’m going to have to go shopping for a content filter…

I’ll have to look into this… but what kind-of cock (no pun intended) SEO’s on “transportation in ancient greece” and then redirects to porn. I mean, seriously… it almost seems like this guy’s targeting kids. Who else would search for that sort-of a keyword combination?

What happened to the good ol’ days of the internet. You know, the days when you’d actually have to search for porn purposely!
