“You’re my ambassador of kwan, man.”
Ambassador of Kwan is a blog about my ventures into transitioning from a 9-5 day job to completely being able to make enough money working from home and running a online internet-based business.
Wow. That really sounds like a pitch from a late night commercial.
I suppose more formally I’d like to be able to make a living combining my love of the internet, my little bits of programming knowledge, and my passion for hard work.
As far as myself, I’m quite the average dude.
- I currently live in Fresno, California. Some locals refer to it as the “Armpit of California”.
- I work as a Network Engineer for a relatively large company.
- I spent quite a few years in college at Cal State Fresno with small stints are other state colleges. I never really liked formal education in its current state and I’m not too big on schooling. But, I did manage to obtain around 140ish units and a couple different majors — I like to refer to it as my Master of Minors coursework.
- I have minors in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, and Astronomy. I’m really quite bad at all 4 of those topics and am completely sure it’s a fluke of some sort.
- In the summer of 2006 I finally got together with my current girlfriend and fell deeply in love with her. We just had our first son, Noah, in Jan of 2008. Despite seemingly doing everything relationships-wise in reverse order, I couldn’t be happier.
The blog title, Ambassador of Kwan, comes from one of my all time favorite movies: Jerry Maguire.
